Dear Friends,

Welcome to the first edition of my newsletter, Writing the Times, in which I'm delighted to announce the release of my debut novel, ANGEL, now available in both ebook and paperback! As many of you know, this book has been a long time in coming, and I've learned just how true it is that writing a book is only the beginning of getting it out into the world. It's probably a good thing that I didn't know what I was getting into, but by taking one step at a time, always looking to whatever needed to be done next, the way has opened up.

First, there's the writing. That took a mere few years. Then, there was the editing, revising, submitting,...then more editing, revising, and submitting.... and then the decision to enter the exciting new world of indie publishing. From there I became involved in all sorts of new things, like book design, cover design, business, and marketing! But I haven't been alone. I have been guided and advised by a fantastic team of professionals at The Editorial Department based in Tuscon, AZ, who have walked this road with me and brought me to this wonderful new place where another journey begins. Thanks to the support of so many, ANGEL has made her way into the world and is now ready to fly!

'70s Nostalgia

Holiday Cheese Ball
2 -8oz packages cream cheese
3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
1/4 cup minced onion
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Finely snipped parsley

Roll the mixture into a ball and decorate with pimento and stuffed olives. Trim the base with cocktail onions. Make a star for the top out of sliced green pepper!
