Yes, we were in our shirt sleeves most of December, but apparently that did not mean Old Man Winter was taking the year off. He showed up over the weekend and he meant business. During my childhood in Tennessee we had big snows and I’ve seen plenty during my years in Virginia and Maryland—but this? It’s hard to tell exact accumulation with the high winds we had blowing all around, but I think close to three feet is a fair estimate. As they say where I come from, “Why, never in my life….!”
